Rev E Bushay

Born in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Everard Bushay migrated to Jamaica at 18 months old, where he was raised.

At the age of 21, he encountered the Lord through a personal revelation of Scripture, particularly Acts 2:38. He was baptised in the name of Jesus Christ in June 1983 and received the Holy Spirit in August of that same year.

From the beginning of his Christian journey, Pastor Bushay developed a deep passion for evangelism and sharing the Gospel with others.

In 1984 he met Denise Allen, and they were married in 1986. In 1987, they migrated to the United Kingdom, where Pastor Bushay became actively involved in ministry at Calvary Temple UPC, A Thriving City Church in London for approximately 20 years. There he served as Missions Director and later the same for the London & South District for six years.

After many years of evangelistic ministry, Pastor Bushay felt the call of God to pioneer a work in New Addington, the community where he has lived for nearly 40 years.

This calling gave birth to Word for Life Christian Ministry.

With a deep love for people from all walks of life, Pastor Bushay remains committed to sharing the Gospel, seeing lives transformed, and fulfilling the Great Commission for the Kingdom of God, as commanded in Matthew 28:19–20.
